Property and Cancellation Policies :
Cancellation Policies differ depending on Rate Plan booked. Please see below for more information.
- Published Rate (highest rate found on our website) bookings can be cancelled or modified 24 hours before check-in date. Deposit made for cancellations done 72 hours before the check-in date is refundable.
- Standard Rate (discounted rate) bookings can be cancelled or modified 7 days before check-in date. Deposit made is non-refundable.
- Opening Promo (available for the first three (3) months from opening day of Zula Hostel – discounted rate) bookings cannot be cancelled or modified and deposit is non-refundable.
- Early Bird Promo or other Promo rates (discounted/promo rates) bookings cannot be cancelled or modified and deposit is non-refundable.
- Late cancellations and No Shows will be charged the total cost of the reservation.
*Bookings made through online travel agents or third-party channels must be cancelled via the respective channel.
If you arrive a day late without informing the hostel, booking will be considered no-show.
Terms and Conditions
Prices and Taxes
Prices in our website are inclusive of all taxes and service charge.
All reservations made through the website or directly to the property via e-mail, phone, etc. must be guaranteed by a valid credit card. The first night of the entire reservation must be settled upon reservation. For third party reservations, the name of the reservation must be under the name of the guest staying in the property, not the name of the booker.
Guests who do not arrive within 24 hours of the check-in date and time of the hostel will be charged the total cost of the reservation.
Minors aged 17 and below will not be allowed to check-in or stay.
Length of Stay
A maximum of 6 nights is allowed for each guest in a reservation. Any succeeding reservations made after the 6th night should have an interval of 3 nights after the first stay. Long staying guests are not allowed.
Zula Hostel will eventually accept major credit and debit cards. But during the soft opening, kindly bear with us for we can only accept Philippine Peso.
Credit Card Fraud Control
If the card owner is not the one staying at the hostel, the guest is required to present clear photocopies of the front and back of the credit card used, a valid government issued photo ID of the card owner along with an authorization letter stating that the credit card holder has allowed the guest to use his/her card for the reservation.
A valid government-issued ID or Passport should be presented upon check-in. Check-in starts at 1400H (2:00PM). Early check-in requests can be accommodated, but is subject to availability and applicable charges. Total room charges must be settled upon check-in.
Check-out time is at 1200H (12:00PM).Room checks are required prior to check-out. Late check-out requests can be accommodated, but is subject to availability and applicable charges. Should there be an availability for a late check-out, charges are as follows:check-outs beyond 1200H up to 1400H shall be charged Php 200.00. HaIf-day rate will be charged for check-outs between 1400H and 1600H. And check-outs beyond 1600H will be charged a whole day rate.
A security deposit of Php 500.00 per night will be collected upon check-in. If not consumed during the guest’s period of stay, the said amount will be returned upon check-out.
Room and Bed Allocation
Your room and bed preference will be asked upon check-in. If your preference is available, we will gladly assign you there. Please do not change beds or lockers.
If you’re travelling with friends or family,we’ll do our best to book you in a room together but this can’t always be guaranteed. If you want to make sure that you aren’t separated from your group,we suggest booking a private room or taking over a whole dorm. Also, our Standard Occupancy for the Private Rooms is 2 adults. There is no capacity for extra beds or extra persons in any of our rooms.
Room Key – Wristbands
Wristbands will be given upon check-in which gives you access to your room. Replacement for lost wristbands is Php 300.00 each.
Lockers are provided for each guest of Zula Hostel. Please use this to store your valuables. Guest must provide their own padlock to secure their things in the locker. Padlocks may also be purchased at the Front Desk. Zula Hostel’s liability for the valuables and effects of the guests shall be governed by Articles 1998 to 2003 of the Civil Code of the Philippines.
All rooms offered by Zula Hostel are non-smoking in compliance with Republic Act No. 9211. Balconies may be used for smoking provided that balcony doors will be closed. The roofdeck is the designated area provided for all guests who wish to smoke. A cleaning fee equivalent to the total room price will be imposed shall this policy be violated.
Cooking, washing of clothes in the hostel premises and bringing of Food & Drinks inside the rooms are PROHIBITED except for water and Zula’s Breakfast goodie bag.
Please expect our housekeeping staff to enter the rooms for cleaning from 0900H to 1900H. Bathrooms and/or shower areas will be cleaned and sanitized by the housekeeping team twice daily.
Visitors are not allowed inside guest rooms.Violators will be charged. The ground floor cafe or seventh floor bar is available for receiving visitors.
Pets are not allowed.
Damages to property including but not limited to linens, furniture and fixtures, door locks will be charged accordingly.
